Winter Recreation

In the Baraboo area, the fun doesn’t end with the advent of winter! Our area boasts a variety of downhill and cross-country skiing opportunities. The Baraboo area is very near three downhill ski resorts that offer some of the finest skiing in all of Wisconsin. Devil’s Head Resort & Convention Center, only eight miles southeast of Baraboo, offers 28 runs and 16 lifts, as well as cross-country skiing and a skating rink. Other fun winter activities include cross-country skiing at Devil’s Lake State Park, ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling and sledding.
